Weekend :: Transitions
Transitions
BY ERIC E. HARRISON ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE
Owners Nancy Tesmer and Kathy Webb of Lilly's Dim Sum and Then Some are hosting a wine and food dinner at 7 p.m. June 19 at the restaurant, in the Market Street Shopping Center, 11121 N. Rodney Parham Road, Little Rock. The five-course dinner will consist of Asian cuisine using Arkansas products, paired with five hand-selected wines. Reservations are required; cost is $50. Call (501) 258-1949. Also, Lilly's next cooking class, 7 p.m. June 26, will focus on Asian stirfry. Cost is $40 and reservations are required for that, too. The hours at the new Jim's Razorback Pizza at the Morgan/Maumelle exit of Interstate 40 in North Little Rock: 11 a.m.-11 p.m. daily, except Thursday, when the place stays open until 1 a.m. The phone number: (501) 851-4120. And the Cross-Eyed Pig , 1701 Rebsamen Park Road, Little Rock, will be a smoking establishment when the statewide smoking ban goes into effect July 21, "because," according to an e-mail from "the Pig," "our little band of catering misfits has never been known for political correctness when it comes to running the restaurant and our patrons have informed us that we may take advantage of their bad habits." Has a restaurant opened -- or closed -- near you in the last week or so? Does your favorite eatery have a new menu? Is there a new chef in charge? Drop us a line. Call (501) 399-3667 or (501) 378-3513, or send a note to Restaurants, Weekend Section, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, P.O. Box 2221, Little Rock, Ark. 72203. Send e-mail to: eharrison@arkansasonline.com
