SOCCER
UALR RALLY FALLS SHORT
A late rally by the UALR women's soccer team wasn't enough to prevent a 2-1 loss Saturday to Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
After falling behind 2-0, Jennifer Heinrichs scored her first goal of the season in the 84th minute of the game. Heinrichs challenged IUPUI goalkeeper Erica Hocking again just four minutes later, but Hocking made an outstanding save to preserve the victory.
The Trojans (4-6) will face Morehead State at 1 p.m. today.
