Game summaryFirst quarter Both teams scored on their first possessions. Arkansas had the ball on LSU's side of the field three times but scored only 10 points, running on almost every down. LSU QB Rohan Davey threw two interceptions. Second quarter Arkansas tried to hold 13-7 and 19-14 leads in the final five minutes by playing deep pass coverage, but LSU still managed to get its passing game going and scored twice quickly. The Razorbacks continued to run but couldn't complete key passes. Third quarter LSU's defense dominated Arkansas most of the quarter by stuffing the run. The Hogs' only life came on a 61-yard touchdown pass from Matt Jones to Sparky Hamilton that pushed them back into the game. LSU mixed the run and pass and scored on a 60-yard pass. Fourth quarter LSU took advantage of a worn-down Arkansas defense to add two more touchdowns. Arkansas rallied behind Zak Clark's passing but ran out of chances.
