ASU showing improvement

Arkansas State showed some improvement in its second day of practice in shorts and pads but still experienced some quarterback-center exchange problems.
Coach Joe Hollis, noting the secondary's athleticism of the group, said he is pleased with his young quarterbacks.
Linebacker Beau Shrable has been moved to the defensive line.
According to trainer Ron Carroll, the following players missed workouts: Jesse Duncan (sprained knee), Charles Fulbright (twisted knee), Chuck Walker (strained hamstring), Tab Slaughter (tendinitis), Chris Jones (cramps) and James Hickenbotham (strained ankle).
ASU will go through one workout today at 3:30 p.m.
