Injuries beginning to add up for ASU

The Arkansas State Indians added more players to their injured list on Thursday, but the biggest injury so far is perhaps the loss of receiver Mark Hamilton.
Hamilton, a senior, tore an anterior cruciate ligament in his knee during Wednesday's scrimmage. He could either rehabilitate the injury or have season-ending surgery.
"We're going to talk to the doctor and his dad on a conference phone call [Thursday night] and talk about some of the options," Hollis said. "This is his fifth year. We think he had some legitimate concerns as a freshman in junior college that we might get a medical hardship."
Others who missed portions of practice with minor injuries are receivers Jerry Mack (knee) and Jerome Stegall (hamstring), defensive back Keith Headley (hamstring), nose tackle Brian Rucker (ankle) and running back Danny Smith (hamstring).
ASU has scheduled another scrimmage Saturday in conjunction with Fan Appreciation Day. The scrimmage, which is open to the public, is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. in Indian Stadium.
