VOLLEYBALL
UALR TAKES SECOND

    UALR finished second at the Fiesta Bowl Tournament in Flagstaff, Ariz., with a five-game victory over Murray State. The Trojans (5-2) defeated the Racers 7-15, 15-6, 6-15, 15-10, 20-18.
    Tanja Radovic led UALR with 22 kills and 12 digs. Raquel Sampaio added 17 kills, while Jelena Radovanovic had 16 kills and nine digs.
    Marijana Bego and Shiloh Kinney each recorded seven blocks.
   
SOCCER
UALR FALLS TO MISSISSIPPI STATE

    UALR lost 3-0 to Mississippi State in the final game of the Soccer, Etc. Classic at the Riverdale Soccer Complex in Little Rock.
    The Trojans (2-4) and the Bulldogs played a scoreless first half before Mississippi State scored its three goals in the second half. The first came just 45 seconds into the half, when Leslie Nickels knocked in a deflection off the goalkeeper.
    Centenary won the tournament, going 2-0.
