UALR beats Tennessee-Martin in women's soccer

Jana Sexton recorded a goal and an assist in leading UALR to a 3-1 victory over Tennessee-Martin in the second game of the Soccer, Etc. Classic at the Riverdale Soccer Complex in Little Rock. Centenary defeated Mississippi State 2-1 in the first game. Sexton, with an assist from Jennifer Heinrichs, lofted the ball over the UTM goalkeeper 28:39 into the game to put the Trojans up 1-0. The score stayed that way until the second half, when the Trojans scored two goals within a 2:03 span. Dayna Dabney recorded the first of the two goals, as she too lofted the ball over the keeper 59:47 into the game. At the 61:50 mark, Cassidy Fallik scored off of a corner kick by Sexton. The Skyhawks picked up their lone goal with under 10 minutes to play, when Sherri Weeks netted a penalty kick directly in front of the goal. UALR (2-3) will play host to Centenary (3-2) at 1 p.m. Sunday.
