UALR women win exhibition

The UALR women's team came back from a halftime deficit to down Slovan Bratislava 74-71 in an exhibition game Tuesday night at the Trojan Fieldhouse.
Scealita Drennon led UALR with 17 points, while Asten Kennedy scored 14 and Muci Haris 12.
"It's good to get the win," UALR Coach Tracy Stewart-Lange said, "but this game shows what we need to improve on."
Slovan Bratislava led by as many as eight in the first half, but were up only two at halftime. UALR took a 48-38 lead early in the second half, led by three layups from Kennedy and a short jumper by Eplunus Brooks. Slovan Bratislava fought back and briefly held a four-point lead, 54-50, with 11:04 left in the game.
UALR continued to work the ball inside, and finally took the lead for good at 60-58 with 7:37 remaining.
