Moseley may stay close to home

Former Texarkana High School pitcher Dustin Moseley, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Player of the Year, has signed with Texarkana Junior College.
Moseley has signed a letter of intent with Arkansas and was the 34th pick in the major-league draft. However, he will play baseball for Texarkana Junior College if contract negotiations with the Cincinnati Reds fall through, Texarkana Coach Matt Deggs said.
If Moseley enrolls at Arkansas, a Division I school, he would not be eligible for the draft again until after his junior season. Should he go to Texarkana, Moseley could be drafted after his first year.
    Moseley, a right-hander, was 12-2 with a 0.76 ERA and 186 strikeouts in the Razorbacks' state-championship season.
Moseley and the Reds are still negotiating.
