2000 soccer schedule extends UA season

The Arkansas soccer team will have an expanded schedule and an expanded stadium for the 2000 season.
The 20-game regular season, two more than 1999, features 10 home matches to be played at remodeled Lady Back Field. The team will kick off on Aug. 19 with a preseason match against a group of Arkansas alumni.
Arkansas averaged 737 fans during its 7-12 season in 1999, which included a first-round loss in the SEC tournament to Florida. The new stadium will seat as many as 1,500 fans.
After the alumni game, the Lady Razorbacks will open on the road for the third consecutive year with trips to Colorado Springs, Colo. and Waco, Texas. Arkansas' home opener is Sept. 7, when it plays host to Texas at 7 p.m.
The Lady Razorbacks will travel to Honolulu for matches against Hawaii and Loyola Marymount on Sept. 15 and 17.
The Lady Razorbacks' Sept. 24 match at LSU will be televised on SEC-TV.
