Quarter summary

First quarter
With Arkansas blitzing frequently, Ole Miss hardly generated any offense but tied the game with a 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. The Razorbacks came back from throwing an interception on their second series and patched together one touchdown drive mostly behind walk-on QB John Rutledge. Fred Talley capped the drive with a 30-yard run.

Second quarter
Defensively, the Razorbacks turned bland as the Rebels scored on three of four drives primarily using the run. Arkansas' first three possessions went nowhere and the last one resulted in a 41-yard field goal.

Third quarter
Ole Miss took the opening drive 71 yards for a touchdown, converting three third downs on the way with QB Romaro Miller's scrambling and passing. Arkansas couldn't muster a passing game and punted twice.

Fourth quarter
Arkansas finally produced some offense, in part because Ole Miss' defense let down with a comfortable lead. Fred Talley and Boo Williams scored touchdowns on 80- and 84-yard drives. The Razorbacks gained 75 yards rushing and 84 passing in the quarter.
