No word on outcome of surgery for Cobbs

FAYETTEVILLE -- Arkansas tailback Cedric Cobbs was scheduled to undergo shoulder surgery late Friday afternoon at Washington Regional Medical Center, but there was no word from the university on the procedure's outcome.
Arkansas trainer Dean Weber was accompanying the team to Bentonville, where the Razorbacks stay the night before Fayetteville football games, and he said it was his understanding Cobbs was undergoing surgery. However, Weber said he didn't know the result of the surgery and that he would have no further comment.
A spokesman at Washington Regional Medical Center referred questions to the UA.
Dr. John Park, who was expected to perform the surgery on Cobbs, could not be reached for comment Friday night.
Cobbs, a sophomore from Little Rock Fair, was scheduled to undergo surgery to repair a Grade III shoulder separation he suffered in the fourth quarter of Arkansas' 28-21 victory over Alabama last Saturday. Cobbs will miss the rest of the season, but it is possible he could be back for spring practice.
