Lady Razorbacks add basketball assistant

Former Providence assistant coach Kelley Bond has been named an assistant for the Arkansas Lady Razorbacks basketball program. Bond, 24, will replace Trinia Tillis, who left earlier this year to become the head coach at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas.
Coach Gary Blair said Bond's knowledge of high school recruiting and her coaching skills separated the Chicago native from the rest of the 45 applicants.
He said Bond will serve as the program's national recruiter.
"One of the main reasons she was chosen is because she has Midwest contacts," Blair said. "That is something we desperately need. Hopefully, that will help us in that part of the country. She wanted to go to a program that would allow her to recruit."
